Firefly Spa offers an Open Contrast Therapy option that doesn't require a reservation, and a Private Contrast Therapy Room "The Oasis" option that does require a reservation. Firefly Spa is equipped with Medical Saunas™ Infrared Dry Saunas and Cold-Water Plunge Tubs, an industry leader in infrared dry sauna and plunge tub technology. Contrast Therapy is simply exposing your body to hotter and colder temperatures it would not normally experience.

Open Contrast Therapy starts in the Medical Saunas™ Spa 9 Infrared Dry Sauna set 150°F that can fit 10-12 people comfortably. Regular sauna use is at least 20 minutes, 2-4 times a week. Those new to hot sauna may need to gradually reach 20 minutes over time. Enjoy a chilled towel after your sauna before starting the second part of your Contrast Therapy.

The second part of your Contrast Therapy takes place in the Tub Room which is equipped with Frozen 9™ plunge tubs. COLD PLUNGES ARE NOT ICE BATHS! Our Frozen 9™ tubs are set at 55°F which allows for longer cold-water immersion to reach the goal of at least 2 minutes in a plunge. Those new to cold-plunge may not be able to meet the 2-minute mark, and that's okay. It takes time to build up your stamina. Our Frozen 9™ tubs are equipped with a Separated Water Purification and 20 Ultra Micron Filter System™ and then finished with UV Sterilization. Our daily testing and regular full water replacement ensures our tub water is crystal clear and properly pH balanced.

Contrast Therapy does not require water temperatures to be in the 30s or 40s°F to achieve the same health benefits, and that's the difference with Firefly's moderate approach to Contrast Therapy.

Our Private Contrast Therapy Room is equipped with the Medical Saunas™ Spa 3 and your own Frozen 9™ plunge tub but requires an appointment, so drop-ins are based on room availability only. The Private Contrast Therapy Room Frozen 9™ tub is also set at 55°F and is equipped with its own filtered water dispenser and herbal tea options. Guests are always free of charge!

Please bring athletic clothing like shorts and a tank top, or a modest coverage bathing suit to wear. You may want to bring a robe, and don't forget slides or sandals. Lockers are available to secure your personal belongings, and towels are provided.

We are a cellphone free environment, so we provide cellphone lockers, or they can be locked up in one of the lockers provided in our Locker Room.

You should drink at least 8-16 oz. of water before AND after your sauna. Our lounge is equipped with a filtered cold and hot water dispenser along with complimentary herbal teas.
